Culture is something that we all have it is something that defines who we are Culture is the reason why you love the things you do and the reason why you act the way you do There are many types of cultures out there and the one culture that defines who I am is the Mexican culture I was raised in a traditional Mexican family where it is not only just your parents brothers and sisters but your extended family as well In my house this consists of my grandmother grandfather uncles aunts cousins second cousins and sometimes even neighbors In my house nobody uses inside voices they are all loud and almost screaming at each other If I ever walk inside my house and there is no noise then something terrible has happened My family comes from Mexico both of my parents immigrated here when they were young My father is from Durango and my mother is from Jalisco My mother is the youngest of fourteen brothers and sisters My father is the oldest from a family of twelve brothers and sisters Both of them lived in very poor conditions and had to work hard to survive Since my father was the oldest he was like the second father in his family he was always with his father helping him pay the bills by working At the age of twelve my father was old enough he was sent to work driving truck delivering bread throughout the town My mother being the youngest was always home cleaning and cooking She only went to school through the third grade because her mother died My mother had to take her place in taking care of the house while everyone else was working They both came from the same type of family and they both know what it means to work hard to get the thing you want in lifeWhen I was growing up I was not
