Many years ago the United States has been the number one destination for most immigrants People from all over the world come to the United States either for health benefits job opportunities or educational purposes Here in Miami most of the immigrants come from Middle East Asia and South American countries Focusing in one particular area the University of Miami provides an intensive English program for those international students A massive cultural diversity is found between the IEP Intensive English Program students In addition it is located in Allen Hall next to Memorial Building Nowadaysit is almost impossible to observe different kinds of people regarding nationality and culture together on a determinate place It is important to mention thatculture is defined by a particular society that has its own beliefs ways of life art etc Sometimes it is necessary to immigrate from your hometown to another country to learn their language their culture their traditions and have the opportunity to perceivethis cultural diversity Moreover if you want to have a better perception of this multicultural diversity the best choice is by studying a foreign language it is very popular and you are going to find people from all over the world wanting to learn it On August in 2011 I had the opportunity to go to Boston MA to learn English for four months I found a huge cultural diversity at the Institute everybody exchanging their traditions with everyone without caring about their nationality Arabics with Venezuelans Russians with Colombians etc It was an amazing melting pot On the other hand one year later I decided to study on IEP Intensive English Program at the University of Miami in order to improve my English before applying to college It was totally different Students tend to socialize better with the ones from their same nationality culture and ethnicities instead of trying to get to know new cultures The sun was shinning incredibly that Tuesday morning I
