Now I know what youre thinking autism is a so-called illness that hinders the brain Therefore they say that they have no value or that they are a nuisance Well im here to tell you about my time spent at keen which was a wonderful opportunity to get to interact with a disabled person I was scared and wondering what was in store for me at this keen swim meet All of my worries were immediately vanished when I saw him My athlete as the keen staff calls them was a young man only about 2 years younger than me Unfortunately due to the illness he had no talking language but squeaks So all of the interaction we had was through contact and his expressions or how he carried his weight I watched as he played together in the pool and played in the water works that he is not at disadvantaged but people tend to feel like he is abnormal His outlook and expressions show me that he finds most things fun and is easily or always happy Wouldnt the rest of us find this fun as well They are different but arent we all different from each other thats part of being normal He is no different than the non-autistic peopleThe lad is a good kid who just is labeled by society to be someone of no importance or a nuisance that is good for nothing He is just the opposite of it though and was an absolute joy to be with him Especially when he first laid eyes upon the water works his eyes were shown with such exuberance They should be embraced and treated the same because they are the same They see the world like the rest of us and live in it Share the same body similarities and if we lined up with them we could not tell the difference between them and us They are the same
