It all started with family problems I was still living in Tijuana Mexico during this time Growing up in Mexico few were the words that I knew from the English language I never imagine living anywhere else much less living in USA Phrases such as hello or exclamations as oh my god were just few things that I would say without even knowing if my accent or my spelling was correctI took the first English class during my first middle school year in Tijuana I always thought my English teacher was American long blonde hair and blue eyes Well thats how I would assume all the people from America looked like but in reality I certainly didnt know a thing about the country besides the fact that the called futbol soccer and maybe a few numbers here and there First day of class she started out with the basics with the few things I was familiar with numbers was the easiest subject to study except for some of their pronunciations I hated to say number 30 I always had trouble pronouncing it I tried breaking it into two pieces on my mind thir-ty but that r rolling in my tongue wasnt working for me it was going to be along job Second time we had to say where we were from so she would make us stand up and say I was born on it was my turn the teacher called me out Johnny please stand up soon I got up where are you from she asked I am from Tijuana Mexico I said a very timid way I was scared I think she liked my answer I saw a big smile on her face excellent she replied so then I answered thank you The end of the semester was just around the corner overall I think I was one of the few guys that got a good grade for the course Little
