There is an old say in my family A women is ready to marryonce they learn how to cook clean and wash dishes for there husbandThat was a say my mother grew up in her household But in todayssociety why cook at all especially when theres a fast food place onevery corner in the city Where food can easily be prepared by someoneelse and purchase through a drive thru My parents come from a small town where women stays home anddoes all the cooking cleaning and men work in farms doing manual labor But now that my parent came to the US some family tradition changeMy mom of course would stay with her old roots and try to pass on whatshe learned especially her cooking My mom has 7 kids and I was the 4thone in the family I remember how mother use to have my two sisters nextto her while cooking showing them steps The oldest one Elizabeth paidattention but Griselda hated it and was enjoyed every time mother triedto teach her At a young age I would see my mom teach my older sisterhow to cook she made delicious food and had very old recipe pass downfrom generation I noticed when mother was at work and there was food tobe made my older sister Elizabeth would prepare us a dish similar asmother Which was sometimes close to what my moms food taste like My older sister Griselda who never liked cooking wouldalways watch TV or was busy with homework I would always hear my momgetting mad yelling and telling my sister to stop being lazy and learnhow to cook Therefore she would make her clean when she did not wantto learn Sometimes my mom would start talking highly about othercousins of
