Propose To show my family that I have achieved what I came to the US for better education and become a better person Coming to the United States In August of 1994 I rode for 24 hours by plane to visit my two older brothers Emad and Fuad who were living in Little Rock Arkansas It was my first time to travel by myself so it wasnt an easy trip And I was 18 years old who knew very little English The 25-day visit was the most beautiful experience I had ever had at that time Accompanied by my brothers I went to Florida Arkansas and Minnesota Every thing I saw or did was amazing and interesting Some of these things are Disney Land Universal Studio Mall of America the legendary American Corn Belt the urban areas the interstate highway system and many other fascinating things But the things that I enjoyed the most were the freedom and the lifestyle that my brothers flourished on After my parents agreement I decided to come back to the US to complete my college degree However I had to learn the English language and get accustomed to the new life style Coming to the US was the most challenging and adventurous decision that I have ever made that marked a turning point in my life Growing up in middle class family I had almost everything I needed I have never needed to work cook nor clean up after myself It was such an easy and simple life Having friends that lived like me I thought that is how everyone lives I innocently thought that people are nice in nature and the world is peaceful I wasnt completely right The six years I have spent in the US has showed me the real life It has helped me learn and realize things that I have never known before I had my happy moments and sad ones too
