A few days ago a pool of chess enthusiasts gathered at a hotel inLouisville Kentucky for a chess tournament I am going to focus on justone person in particular By appearance he doesnt look any smarter thenthe next guy His most unique feature is being the most talkative personyoull ever meet Im talking a constant stream of chatter I findmyself wondering how he manages to keep quiet during a round That alonemust be a great difficulty for him I have to say he has a great senseof humor Just listening to him provides lots of amusement He eatsbasically nothing during these events That really isnt an exaggerationeven if it does sound like one In the whole weekend of the tournamenthe had a glass of milk some Nilla wafers and a Cliff bar I guess youcould say he was just a little nervous After the last round he managedto put a whole sandwich in his stomach without getting sick Despite thefact that he cant talk during rounds and doesnt eat enough food tosustain his brain he is an amazingly smart kid Just watching him playchess is an inspiration Observing his results is similarly inspiring The round is underway and although I should be thinking about mygame I remember that I have an observation paper to write after the weekend brain exertion is over so Icarefully start observing the genius a few tables above me First of all I saw he was deeplyanalyzing the position A frown wrinkled his forehead and his chinrested in his hand thoughtfully He sat erect in his chair and the onlysign of nervousness was the continual shaking of his leg He isdetermined to fight the game out to the end win or lose Fromexperience I know that he doesnt hear any noise except his ownanalytical thoughts and doesnt see anything except the chessboard infront of him After several minutes of
