Question Evaluate a significant experience achievement risk you have taken or ethical dilemma you have faced and its impact on youWhen my mother was 13 years old she religiously read every one of Judy Blumes novels As she finished each book she carefully put them away in hopes that one day she would have a daughter who loved those books as much as she did These books travelled from her childhood bedroom to her college apartment to her first home with her husband through three states until eventually they reached her daughter who would also grow up to have the same appreciation for those books as she did Fast-forward to January 12 1995 the day I was born The moment I was born my mother read to me anxiously awaiting the day that she could pass on her Judy Blume books Finally when I was twelve I came home to find all of her Judy Blume books placed on my shelf for me to read As I grew older I started to run out of room on this bookshelf and went through three bookcases until I could finally fit all of my books on that shelf Currently there are three shelves full of books not including the five books on my nightstand and the one on my desk By my mom saving those books she not only introduced me to Judy Blume she introduced me to a whole new realm of characters and stories Knowing how much these characters have inspired me and helped me through hard times I too was going to save those books for my children My intention in saving these books was to someday be able to share them with my children However in my junior year of high school these plans changed and I was able to feel the joy of sharing my books long before I had any children As Secretary of Oprahs Ambassadors I organized a book
