I see myself as a system thinker My consumerist worldview is formed by a large framework which include my judgements based on my observations my values and my experiences of consumption with the happiness and materialism In this essay I will demonstrate how my relationship with consumerism is shaped by my family my surroundings ie peers and schools and different aspects of paradigm from Canada and China that enlarged my worldviewAbove all I would like to give my opinion on how I see the happiness from a possession and happiness from the leisure time we spend with our family and our peers I believe that happiness from possessing stuffs is all about the comparison with our peers and self-pride we hold toward the others However the real source of happiness comes from the interaction with family members and friends Laugh is definitely the best way to express our feelings and our real happiness We laugh with our friends with our parents and sister it increases our happiness But can someone really laugh every day face to a luxurious car heshe possesses I doubt For me the stuffs we own are not sources of happiness but rather the tools that help us to acquire happiness As such I consider myself as a rational consumerist I sincerely believe the stuffs could bring more than its utility benefits to me Also consumerism for me is more about consumption to meet the social needs than emotional needs For example good clothes make me feel more confident I must clarify here that Im not a materialistic person In my view materialistic people are often over-obsessed with stuffs who excessively love the bend mark materials and buying stuffs with only emotional want and believe that the materials they own are the greatest sources of happiness I am what I wear This spread-out expression from capitalism countries reflect what I think I believe that the clothes we wear portray not only our
