The shinny old silver hand watch seemed to have taken forever getting to the numbers that I had anticipated for The thought of finally graduating and whizzed off into the unknown and being with the most loved grandparents ever was one of a child never leaving a candy shop The joy of seeing my grandparents had brought many sleepless nights and tiring preparation however the look on my grandmas face said it all something was not right The bustling crowd of Rios narrow littered street stood many tall empty old buildings that were once the towns meeting area so many unforgettable childhood memories rushing through my thoughts The empty silence in the earthly scented cab gave it away My grandfather was indeed not well and it seems to be extremely serious Her glowing ageing face had lost in the huge battle of sadness I leaned over and kissed her gently reassuring her everything would be alright What seem to have been a trip of a life time has now become one of mourning and seeking comfort in gazing in the array of sunshine that dazzled around the newly built metal roof my grandfather had built for the adorable little lambs we had talked about in our adventurous conversations I could hear his laughter as he looks at me screaming in agony trying to climb the emerald pastures mound All that happiness was about to be taken away Grandmother was trying her best as usual getting the tea ready to be taken to the hospital and keeping herself occupied distancing herself from the thoughts of being lonely and isolated He meant the world to her and us all All I could think of is why now why us truly we had never taken anything for granted Lost with grief I couldnt wait to see the man that left so much behind to raise us all after mother had fallen ill The sound of beeping horns
