First of all this topic is very important to us as MBA student because in the next year we will negotiate about our salaries In the salary negotiation I faced two difficulties The fist one is the lack of information in the play role The second one is that my partner had more information than me So I wasnt satisfied in that negotiation We started with good opening statement and after that I explained the situation to the candidate my partner and why interested on her We kept going to talk about the company and the qualification that the candidate had Then I offered her my first offer and she directly rejected it because she think that she deserve more I kept negotiate with her until she mentioned that she had an offer from the west coast I asked her how much is the offer so I can start form that offer but sadly she said that so mean I understood that maybe I shouldnt ask her about the offer Actually that is a big work to say for international person In our culture I cant say that for a person that I meet him her formally because it is shame I ignored that because I am in USA and they dont know a lot about the other cultures In the end we ended the negotiation that both of us accepted it In the play role I had lack information that affected me while I am doing the negotiation I need more information so I can negotiate better Also my partner had some information that I cant do anything with it My partner had offer from California that is higher than my maximum offer My partner didnt talk more about why she is interested to move to NY which maybe will help me to negotiate more and change the offer
