Most colleges have fraternities and sororities on campus They are known as the Greek life because each house is named after two or three letters of the Greek alphabet Most people think of those who belong to the Greek system as preppy rich college students who spend their weeks getting drunk and having meaningless sex Greek lettering t-shirts Nike shorts and Sperry Topsiders are what makes the Greek students stand out and hard to miss With all the stereotypes placed on the Greek students its no wonder many students cant help but have curiosity about what it would be like to join a sorority or fraternity With many questions racing through my mind I decided to follow my roommate Clarissa Lambers to an important ritual for the Greek life a frat partyAccording to Urban Dictionary the definition of a frat party is a sausage fest with douche bag frat boys who let a lot of girls in and hardly any guys so they can slip date rape drugs into the girls drink and have sex with them because obviously they cant rely on their charm I sincerely hoped this wasnt what I was getting myself into Clarissa told me we were going Sigma Chi for their annual Halloween costume party that is known as one of the biggest parties of the year Hesitated to go I went with an open mind so I could see what a true frat party is like I felt very left out when I first arrived at the party my roommate and her friends all ran up to their sorority sisters and started taking pictures together in their slutty Halloween costumes My first impression of the party was that the stereotype was true that fraternities knew how to throw a good party because there was no question that there were at least 100 people in and out of the frat
