Every child comes from a different world which shapes who they are as an individual One must overcome the challenges these worlds present in order to secure a better future I come from a family of immigrants who came to this country to give their children a better future Ever since a young age my parents have always stressed the importance of education They dreamt to one day see their four children surpass their junior high education and receive a college degree Unfortunately due to my parents status they were employed in low income jobs which could not support our family to make sure the bills were paid sacrifices were made among these included my siblings college education Being stressed over finances my father turned to alcoholism At the age of five I never knew which father would come walking through the door a loving father or a terrifying monster that went on rampages against my mother As much as my mother wanted to she could not take her children and escape this toxic relationship for her salary could not support a family of five So she remained trapped in this web of abuseFor six years I was abused by my uncle My Uncle came to America to help assist my family with money with the extra income my fathers worries decreased thus his drinking stopped My mother was no longer in danger of the man who she wed to protect thus I suffered in a world of silence to secure my mothers safetyAround the age of ten the environment which I lived in changed My anorexia and depression brought new surroundings to my life My environment now consisted of hospitals where I was surrounded by the mentally When admitted to the hospital I was in a sense relived for this gave me the opportunity to escape my molesterI have come from many worlds a world with an alcoholic
