When describing ourselves we wrote down two different types of traits I wrote down personal identities and Noemi wrote social identities I mostly selected personality traits based off of my past behaviors current behaviors the way I am views and goals but Noemi chose to choose things she was involved with the way she viewed herself and her goals All together we had a count of 12 personal identities and 7 social identities for the past 14 personal and 3 social identities for the present and 12 personal and 6 social identities for the future In my lists I had a process of behavioral lessons and goals In the past I looked at personality traits that shaped how people thought of me For the present I chose personality traits that I have gained by joining my sorority because it has helped me grow as a person tremendously For the future section I selected traits and goals that I would like to achieve through my journey with the organization over the next few years The things that differed from my lists were my goals In the past I was focused on the way people viewed me but in my future section I focused the traits I wanted to see in myself One thing that is the same through out all three sections is the way I interact with people The traits were not the same but it progressed over time In the future my personality will help me become more understanding and dedicated This activity relates to Maslows theory of self-actualization by demonstrating how you cannot achieve things in your future unless you have experienced them in your past You cannot be self-satisfied unless you have fulfilled your goals and needs in your life In Noemis list she focused on personality traits in all three types of statements Some commonalities within her lists were her intelligence level physical characteristics and her ambition There were
