Television has transformed over the years from family sitcoms that have the perfect family to reality shows that show dysfunctional children that just may be an embarrassment to their parents Life has imitated television to the point where young girls get influenced by shows like Real Housewives of Atlanta and Bad Girls Club The viewers of these shows see these women on TV and notice that they are living the life drinking every night clubbing every weekend and participating in impulse shopping just because they have the money As a result the young girls want to experience their lives like what they see on those shows even though what is shown on TV is not the best example of how young women should behave Reality television has transformed into a hot commodity over the years These shows have changed from American Next Top Model and Top Chef to shows like Jersey Shore Real Housewives of Atlanta and Bad Girls Club Based on auditions the cast is chosen to prove to the producers that they are qualified to be able to make it on the show When watching Real Housewives and Bad Girls Club people cant help but to think What made them so much better than anyone else There was definitely a plan behind why exactly they were chosen When looking at gender race and class there were connections that gave me an idea of the reasoning behind the casting In the Real Housewives of Atlanta I looked at season four episode one to analyze The cast includes NeNe Leaks Sheree Whitfield Cynthia Bailey Kandi Burruss Kim Zolciak and Phaedra Parks These are high class women living their established lives in Atlanta Apparently majority of the women knew each other before they were casted on the show but coincidently they all made it on the show When finding the cast members the producers had to consider appearance and who was going to make the show
