Bridget's feedback:
"As you move forward, focus on a few areas that will take advantage of this existing draft. First, you've put together a solid overall structure for the paper, so work within that frame to refine your purpose and how the reader is introduced to the purpose. The current introduction doesn't make clear that the paper will be about Louis XIV -- think of how signposting language or reorganizing the sentences in that first paragraph can narrow the focus and communicate this to the reader.
To work with the current overly long quotations, experiment with summary and paraphrase; are there key phrases or impactful diction that can be quoted alongside paraphrasing? As you do this, it will become easier to integrate the quotes smoothly into your text; check your citation formatting against your style guide, and related to lower-order concerns, proofread for occasional errors as well as to ensure appropriate word choice for the project."
