Envision hundreds of parentless children running toward you for love thousands of people jumping over each other for basic toiletries and hundreds of people waiting in line all day just for water All this seems so extreme and not too bad when you hear it in writing however experiencing it and seeing it is a different situation entirely Preparing for a missions trip can be a difficult task both emotionally and physically but with the correct leadership and mental preparation you can change someones life A mission trip is based from the Christian Religion and it can be groups of people or a single person The main goal is to go to different areas anywhere in the world and spread our faith and show Gods love We usually do this by reaching out to people who would otherwise be forgotten My first mission trip I had heard of from my youth pastor he said another church was planning to go Mexico Jamaica and the Cayman Islands on a missions trip cruise It was going to cost 1000 for a week on this mission trip As soon as my pastor said the price I knew I was not going to be able to go I lived with my mom and even though she worked very hard she was very poor It was not about money or me though I had to go on this trip to touch the lives of others who needed it God blessed me and I was able to work and save enough money to go on the trip but I was in for more than I expected A day before the trip we gathered at the church that was hosting the trip for a preparation meeting When I arrived the pastor was already busy working on an assembly line One side of the church we were working on small care packages for Jamaica that contained soap toothbrushes toothpastes
