Envision a scale capable of weighing an individuals value a value not of hisher physical capacity mental prowess nor any means of material wealth but the sheer value of their life itself a scale unbiased and universal unbound by ethics and morality on which if you stepped foot would determine your life value as you Living in a codependent culture we often validate ourselves externally measuring our worth in comparison to others I believe this not only devalues us as individuals but also empowers a fear of not being good enough In order to truly determine ones life value heshe must look internally and ask the question what is my potential and how do I fulfill it But how can one quantify life potential Initially I reasoned that my life potential was nothing more than my potential for success the greater my success the greater my value However this idea was rapidly exhausted once I realized the undervalued importance of failure Trying and failing is by no means subordinate to downright success in fact success is unattainable without the accumulation of experience brought on by failure Casting the notions of success and failure aside I decided to quantify my potential based not on the outcome of my experiences but by the act of experiencing itself Regardless of outcome character cannot be developed in ease and quiet but only through experience Helen Keller by challenging yourself to experience as many things as possible you will undoubtedly encroach on your life potential and intrinsically increase your life value Therefore it has become my core belief that in order to be the best you possibly can individuals must seek out as many experiences as they can to challenge themselves This core belief is universally applicable no matter what your socio-economic physical or mental condition etc challenging obstacles will always present themselves Recall any life decisions you have made what were your options and were they
