In todays society every possible effort has be taken place to stop racism Laws have been made and improvised to stop racial discrimination For instance equal employment opportunity act which prevents employment decision based on race But still our society fails to achieve a place free for segregation The murders of Trayvon Martin and Michael Donald are not different from the murder of Emmett TillTill was a young African American and only 14 years old He grew up in south side of Chicago and attended a segregated elementary school The place where he lived was a black community and the level of segregation was not that high His uncle insisted him to come with him to Chicago One day he saw a white woman and tried to talk with her He didnt know the level of segregation that existed there and for crime he committed he was beat to death and later his body was thrown in the river Later when his body was found it was beyond recognition In the case of Donald he was also a young African American who also became victim of segregation Two white Ku Klux Klan members in Alabama killed him He was tortured and hanged across a tree His body similar to Till and was brutally tortured While in the case of Martin who was also a young African American He was walking in a neighborhood were he killed by a neighborhood watcher in self-defense Both cases are similar to Emmett Till All these were young African American boys who didnt commit any major crime They were killed because of segregation and none of them were found guilty for the crimes they were charged For instance Donald was charged for drug deal that went wrong while Trayvon attempted to kill the neighborhood watcher and Till even did not committed any crimeAlthough the killers of Emmett Till could never be brought to justice but it still sparked the black
