Divorce is the last solution when couples cant stay together anymore so divorce should be like abnormal marriage case However divorce rate in Saudi Arabia is increasing rapidly and that indicates serious problems need to be solve Statistics of the Ministry of Justice show that in 2011 there were 81 divorces a day while there were four cases of khula a day Khula is when a wife demands a divorce from her husband for an agreed amount of money and a return of her dowry Official reports also indicate that the total number of all divorces in the Kingdom in 2011 was 34622 and that 66 percent of divorces took place in the first year of marriageThere are many reasons for the rise of divorce rate To begin with choosing inappropriate spouse could lead later on to divorce For example some parents dont allow the finance to look at his fiance or dont give him the chance to know her better before marriage Also some couples disregard the other partys rights Additionally some local traditions and customs force the couples to marry due to tribalism traditions like a man should marry his cousin Moreover media plays a big role in this problem that is spouses dont satisfy each other anymore Finally there are some other factors for instance financial issues cheating violence and drugs addictionTo solve this disaster an urgent response must be taken Firstly some bad traditions should be canceled Also spouses choosing should be according to the Islamic instructions and wise advice Additionally there should be a mandatory courses about married life and its sanctity before marriage Moreover a mutual respect and awareness of the other partys rights should be present during the spouses life Lastly media should be monitored by the government and only suitable programs can be broadcast
