Robert Frost was an American Poet who was recognized for his descriptive work about nature and life He became one of the greatest poets that are known for his passion and warmth in his poetry Many of his poems have been recited and influenced many individuals and poets to write poetry Frost is one of the most well- liked and honored poets during the twentieth century and still continuing in America today Robert Lee Frost was born on March 26 1874 in San Francisco California however moved to Massachusetts after his father departed However he attended Lawrence high school and Dartmouth University where he met his wife Elinor White Robert and Elinor were married and had children whom two had unfortunately died They moved to New Hampshire and owned a farm although Robert started writing poems and found no one who would publish them He decided to move to England in search of a publisher and published his first book That time he met Edward Thomas and Ezra Pound who first criticized his bookHis publisher Henry Holt had published his collection of poems Robert wrote when he was in England However he moved back to America after World War 1 and started a career as a teacher in a university After he taught more than 45 years in colleges and universities they built a library in honor of Robert Frost Although at the age of 86 Robert Frost was also honored to recite two poems at the inauguration of President John F Kennedys Sadly Americas most loved poet had died at the age 88 on January 29 1963 in Boston due to a medical crisis of prostate surgery Robert Frost was honored over 40 college degrees for his hard work moreover he was also won a four-time Pulitzer Prize in poetry His poetry has figurative language that has a sense of humor it contains metaphors free verse or similes Robert
