Youve got to get your personal act together before you can be a good team player said Sean Covey on page six In other words you have to get yourself situated private victory because you can help out others public victory Now each morning I wake up I get out this robust quote also know as my mission statement It states Believe in yourself Have faith in your abilities Without a humility but reasonable confidence in your own powers you cannot be successful or happy This really keeps me going throughout the day and work harder to accomplish my dreams Being 16 I realized that I am parent centered Said on page 22 Parent centered is centering you life on your parents and living to please them above everything else I have to learn how to please myself before I can please them Even though I can be diligent when it comes to my mom I know with that mind set it can become very detrimental to my future Now that I am aware of this I can focus more on reaching my expectations and not my parents Comparing myself to others is really rambunctious to me now Since I have been doing it for so long Now that I have read this book comparing myself is nothing but bad news We are all on different time tables and I have learned to accept that I use to always discern how people hair was and looked at mine in the mirror I seldom figured out what was wrong with me or if something was really wrong at all Now I know Im not futile and I can finally ne indistinguishable and look good doing it Selective listening and judging people based off of prior knowledge which it isnt inevitable and is really something you have to discern If you dont recognize this habit then you will most likely be a solitude person in the future
