Coaching Baseball Technical and Tactical Skills was one of the classes I chose to take for my Coaching Sports Technical and Tactical Skills class It covered everything from pre-season and pre-game to post game and paperwork It used videos and diagrams to show certain situations and display what they were trying to teach The online aspect of the teaching made it easy to go at my own pace and take my time to make sure I get all the information that I needed To be honest I do not know when these videos were taken or what cell phone they were shot on but some of them made it very difficult to identify what the class was trying to show They would only show one angle of one throw or swing which made it difficult to identify the problem if there was one Identifying technical skills is a hard thing to do on paper it is one of those things that have to be experienced in real life Growing up playing baseball I had a lot of different coaches from tee-ball to High School Each one had their own style for teaching technical and tactical skills to the team so for each team I as the player had to adjust to each coach One coach would want me to swing this way while my next coach would want me to swing that way It makes it difficult to get a consistent swing or play at constant style to be productive For me coaching seems to be giving a player the best way to be successful not altering the player to the way you want them to play If a player has a certain way of throwing that is successful for them then show them how to improve This class didnt really say anything about players variations of styles They just showed a generic
