Thinking about retirement can be daunting and stressful at times I sit here only twenty years old thinking I have so many years to save saving right now is not a vital component to my retirement After reading and discussing saving for retirement with my parents my previous mindset has been completely altered Even only twenty learning about different retirement tools and saving for retirement is imperative to not only my future but my familys future The sooner one is educated about retirement and finances the smoother the saving for retirement goes Creating a retirement plan is crucial to any individual especially one in there twenties When creating a retirement plan a variety of questions were posed What age would you like to retire what are your current savings and how much would you like to save for retirement were the main questions asked Entering the information I critically thought about each questions answer The question that I thought about the longest was what is your expected retirement age Numerous things were going through my head regarding this choice as to what to do I want what is the best decision for my future family what about my future spouse what about my career path and what about the economy today and what will it be as I age The typical age which I have heard most common of retirement age is sixty-five After assessing each question I posed to myself I came to the conclusion of age sixty-nine Once all data had been entered the calculator gave me a report Being twenty and still a college student I have not thought about retirement nearly as much as I should have When viewing my report I experienced slight anxiety and stress The amounts which I need to start saving annually scared me Each annual amount seemed like a
