When given a new role it becomes critical to the number of changes for the betterment of the organization In my context as a SergeantShift Leader of a air traffic controller facility in the US Army at Desiderio Army Airfield in Camp Humphreys South Korea there are a number of changes that I would give priority assuming I have taken the position of an Air Traffic Control Facility Chief Indeed assuming that I have been appointed to this office I would take up new changes driven to boost the performance of the workers as well as all Army ATC facilities Purpose I worked as an air traffic controller in the US Army The highest leadership role that one could assume was an ATC Facility Chief In this paper I will explain how I will do things differently assuming I suddenly have been thrust into the highest leadership of Facility ChiefDiscussion As a newly appointed ATC Facility Chief I would do things differently from the way my former boss did This is because of the many things that will require things to be done differently and secondly because I am a transformational leader and would want to employ this leadership in boosting the performance of the entire air traffic control unit of the US Army Improved performance of the department of air traffic control of the US Army demands new initiatives to be undertaken It demands that the workers put more efforts in carrying out their duties As a new leader I would want to implement new changes that would drive the performance of the workers to the next level Achua Lussier 2009In addition after assuming the new office the main tasks that I will have ahead of me is revitalizing the unit of ATC This will involve boosting the input of the workers which may need deployment of additional motivational strategies to the workers in this unit It may also require putting up
