In an essay format Poets of the Confederation The Onondaga Madonna The Way to the Mission The Forsaken The Half-Breed Girl At Gull Lake August 1810Write a two-page typewritten summary of Scotts attitude to Aboriginal Canadians using specific references to his poems to illustrate your points Please if you can please help to pinpoint the following for me Where comma splices are needed alternative words to use or any general grammar and spelling mistakes I think right now my teacher would give me a D for this piece of work Can you please see if you can help get at the least a B grade Many thanksThe author of the five poems Duncan Campbell Scott has written his poems on the uncivilized culture of Aboriginal Canadians The culture of Aboriginal Canadians is familiar to Scott but it remains strange and outlandish Scott uses for some of his poems a mixed raced character to indicate the dooming of the Aboriginal race in Canada He finds that the Aboriginal cultures are disappearing due to assimilations rather than a natural decreases Some of the assimilations are intermarriages and killing Scott thinks of the Aboriginals as savages wild weird or merely just as uncivilised However he finds some sympathy for them within himself especially for the mixed race From the observation of Scotts poems it is becomes clear that Scotts attitude towards the Aboriginal Canadians as alien he finds them uncivilised but he remains sympathetic towards them The first poem The Onondaga Madonna is quite the opposite of its actual title The Onondaga woman is not the like of Madonna but she is a pagan 4 She is a savage 3 with war and wildness in her veins 6 Scott describes her blood mingled with her ancient foes 5 Scott is showing that eventually this Onondaga will become Madonna with all the integration She has a baby that is paler than she 11 The mixed race child
