In todays society many young adults feel he she should look or act acertain way The media is presenting a look that nobody can achievebecause they are creating something that is constant yet ever changingFor me I believe people should be themselves by choosing clothes thatmake them who they areWhen growing up my mother use to buy my twin sister and I niceclothes The reason for this was because my mother only had threeoutfits growing up so she wanted us to have everything she desired whenshe was our age I can remember having nice scrunchies in my hair cutestylish shoes and colorful outfits Today I now wonder if my outfitsgrowing up reflected my style todayIn kindergarten I always felt like I fitted in with everyone Notbecause of my childish ways but because of my style In first andsecond grade my style was about the same as kindergarten because mymother still picked out my clothes I feel like my school didnt acceptme for just me but for my style as well For instance the nerds atevery school would wear uncool outfits from Wal-Mart while the popularcrowd would wear clothes from socially acceptable places like TheChildrens Place In third and fourth grade my style changed a littlebecause my mom would let me pick out my clothes from stores like Macysand JcPenny I started to wear plain white and blue shirts because theymatched with everything However those two years I hung out withdifferent students Looking back now I feel the reason why I made newfriends was because my appearance wasnt acceptable to my old friendsFrom fifth to seven grade I was labeled as a tomboy for wearingt-shirts and jeans I was shocked how I quickly became unpopular becauseof the way I dressed In eighth grade I started to buy clothes atHollister American Eagle and Pac Sun because those were the popularstores The reason why I wore the clothes I wore throughout my childhoodwas because they were comfortable and
