"This interesting paper suffers from a number of grammatical issues. A word is missing in the third paragraph (“what the atomic could do”), and “to kept” should be “to keep.” A comma should be placed after a city and state name. Parenthetic citations should be placed before the period ending a sentence, and in any case, there should be a preceding space. Also, “ref.” is inconsistently capitalized. Words should not be arbitrarily capitalized, and this includes chemical names. Depending on the format, numbers greater than nine can be written as numerals. “One thousand” is not hyphenated, and note that to do so is inconsistent with “one million,” as appears in this paper. Page 2 starts with a confusing passage (“The man’s name …”), including a question mark followed by a comma, in what seems to be a run-on sentence (comma splice), which is the use of a comma to separate what should be two distinct sentences. Chernobyl is in the Ukraine, not Russia."
