Did working with kids that have disabilities ever interest you If so this passage will tell you everything that you need to know about it It has information on your salary the things you will need to do and even something on the work environment Even if you arent interested in this job just by the name of it its great to check it out just in case once you hear the information it will take an interest in you It will be a lot of hard work but think about where you will be when you get finished I hope this inspires you to get started or eve just think about startingA special education teacher works with children that have all kinds of different disabilities These kids usually wouldnt be able to do many things on their own They have to be put in their own classroom most of the time with other children like them Special ed teachers have to change different methods into ways so that the children will understand them better These teachers have to understand that each individual is different and it takes time to help themAs a teacher of this kind you will have many responsibilities One of the big ones is being able to communicate and understand your children You wont be able to talk with your kids if you dont understand them You would also have to take your own time to get to know the kids and understand their individuality and learn about their disabilities Another big responsibility is to know when something is about to happen and know how to react if something does happen Often these students are put into normal classes and sometimes they react to something they think is wrong Many will scream throw things and some may even hit the teacher That is a huge disruption to those around and youre going to have to know how to handle it Hopefully
