In the first picture April is in the middle of another slow mind-numbing shift as a sales associate at Bloomingdales April is obviously goofing around with friends and not taking her job seriously She is puckering her lips and crossing her eyes like an inebriated gold fish One might think she was out with friends except for the all black uniform and high-end clothes surrounding her The second photo was taken a couple months ago April is in the middle of teaching class at Green Fitness Studio in Brooklyn She is sporting spandex stretch pants and a purple tank top while posed with outstretched arms and legs atop a hard wood floor Aprils facial expression is focused while her body is balanced and toned April is an accomplished Pilates instructor and she has improved her outlook on life as well as her own wellbeing both physically and mentally By exploring these two photographs it becomes clear that April was unsatisfied with her former position and decided to better herself and discover a new and exciting career pathWhile at Bloomingdales April could tell that something was missing in her life She was spending her days folding pieces of fabric and felt like she wasnt learning anything or helping society in any meaningful way In fact she explained to me that work didnt matter I didnt care if I went out to bars spent all my money and showed up at Bloomingdales hung over These feelings left April unmotivated at work and at home On multiple occasions I remember her joining a gym with an annual membership and proceeding to never attend after the first week April has never been overweight or unhealthy but she definitely has an insatiable sweet tooth Often I would find her watching TV with a pint of Hagen-Dazs in her handAfter the monotony and feelings of
