Although stress can be prevented stress can harm a childs development and affect many elements in a childs behavior actions while also causing damage to a childs mental and physical health Future adult relationships and situations can be handled in negative ways due to stressStress comes from both the good and the bad things that happen to us If we did not feel any stress it would not be normal Stress helps children develop the skills they need to deal with and adapt to new and situations throughout life and development As a young child the smallest things can cause stress like coloring out of the lines or loosing a toy although it seems like nothing to a child it becomes a problem because they do not know how to handle the situation A worried feeling sets in and suddenly they are stressed this may result in tears screaming or any behavior where the child is acting out this is he or shes way of expressing the stressful feelings Expressions of sadness or loneliness may be displayed by the child while being in solidary due to the feelings they are overcoming Teachers use empathy to comfort and acknowledge the childs stress or depression Uses an emotionally warm and positive approach which leads to constructive behavior in children CCCFAAAC 2003 Reflective thinking and empathy are required as children grow and meet the challenges of an increasingly complex world and diverse social environments Different types of stress can result from going to school for the first time or meeting new children this type of stress is usually short lived but could causes minor physiological changes including an increase in heart rate and changes in hormone levels How a child interacts with society is based on he or shes state of mind and damaging the childs future if stressed when developing through childhood and not being able to deal with it then will continue in teen years
