Bob's feedback:
"You've laid out some good insights about the novel. With some organization and focus, you'll have a strong essay.
As the paper currently stands, it's difficult to tell what the focus is. A good start to addressing this would be to divide your paper into several clearly defined paragraphs. These should include an introduction and conclusion, and the supporting paragraphs should each focus on their own topic.
Be sure to provide context so your reader (who may not be familiar with the plot of the novel) has the appropriate understanding to follow your analysis.
Working with a proofreader would be beneficial as there are several awkward sentences and difficult transitions. Some sentences are unnecessarily complex in structure or wordy, and several words are misused. Focus on clarity rather than flowery language."
