On campus here at San Jose State there is a great abundance of student resources and centers available for students to use throughout the week These places are already being paid for with tuition so students should take advantage of these opportunities The places that I visited and available for student use are Peer Connections Career Center Mosaic Cross Cultural Center College of Applied Science and Arts CASA and the Health CenterThe Peer Connections Center is a valuable resource to use it provides a number of services such as mentoring tutoring workshops and resources Peer Connections mentors and tutors are SJSU students who have been in the freshman seat before They know what it is like and can provide tips of how to manage your first year in college This is a beneficial resource that can be very useful and needs to be taken advantage of Peer Connections provides an opportunity for students to better him or herself in schooland get the necessary attention required for any issues they may be having about school The Career Center is a place where one can go in need of any job assistance or any questions related about jobs They will assist on resume and prepare a person for an interview They would help create mock interviews with students for them to become familiar and know the dos and donts of an interview A fact that was interesting when talking to an employee was that they could help students find an internship abroad At the career center they do not set up job interview or guarantee a person a job they just help prepare a student and can help get them connected to open position This is a favorable source to keep in mind when it comes to times to filling out job applications and creating resumes for internships They also hold job fairs with big companies that come into San Jose and the fair gives students a
