The instant after you witness an event take place do you sometimes not believe what you just saw even though it was with your own two eyes Do you become skeptical and curious as to how it occurred Maybe it is your subconscious mind telling you that what happened is not exactly what it seems It appears to work in a way allowing it to send you an alert or a warning of some kind to prevent you from being nave and foolish to believe that such a ridiculous thing could have happened With others that arent so lucky their victimized minds get deceived very easily Maybe the entire truth cannot be seen with the naked eye but the mind can grasp reality without vision being a distraction Being deceived by the more interesting picture has been used as a technique by William Shakespeare to create fantastic tragedies that have entertained millions of people all throughout the world The plays include characters being told falsehoods in order to please themselves or cause problems that could potentially ruin lives Shakespeare wrote of these somewhat realistic problems that compare with what people deal with today because playgoers can easily relate to the emotions the characters display He used his brilliant way of writing in many of his works but especially in the plays Macbeth Hamlet and King Lear In King Lear there is a perfect line that summarizes the cold hard truth about being misled or tricked I stumbled when I saw78 This statement explains that just because you see something doesnt mean it is necessarily understood It expresses reason why someone shouldnt judge a book by its cover Mistakes can be made when you see something as true People can be deceived deceive others or even be innocent bystanders that are affected by the deceit Shakespeares characters King Lear Gloucester Edmund Regan Goneril Cordelia and Edgar were either causes or victims of visual deceptionKing Lear
