Of Mice and Men is about loneliness The book focuses on two migrant workers in the 1930 Their names are George and Lennie Theyre different from most migrant workers because they travel with each other instead of alone Not only they are different from the other workers theyre very different from each other George is small and wise while Lennie is large and has a mental disability Gorge complains that his life would be so much easier if he didnt have to look over Lennie Gorge and Lennie both share a dream though That one day they will own a house Where they will raise cows chickens have a little vegetable patch and rabbits that Lennie will look over Lennie has a love of feeling soft things which gets him into trouble sometimes They had to leave the old place they use to stay at because Lennie grabbed a ladies dress because he loved the look of itShe took it has he was trying to rape her and screamed which startled Lennie so he held on She claimed he raped her so she had guys to find Lennie and lynch him So he and George had to hide and leave They had to find a new place to go So they left to work on a new ranch where they will be bucking barley When they showed up they already had trouble The bosses son Curley which is a boxer said he hates big guys like Lennie but George warns him that Lennie is a good fighter Later on Lennie and George meets Curleys wife Everyone thinks Curleys wife flirts with all the workers So George warns Lennie not to talk to her In reality if you read the book she tells Lennie she is lonely Also in the story they call her Curleys wife and dont give her a name To show she is Curleys property The author was trying to show
