During this past winter I took the time to plan out my summer vacation I had to make a few choices as they related to quality of life and finances so I was prepared once school ended to fulfill my plans and not have to look back As I am getting older now these decisions are more complicated to make and in each of my three examples I will point out the decision making process that I went throughThe first opportunity I gave up this summer was a six week teen tour The trip consisted of heading out West with a few of my friends and visiting places such as Utah Wyoming Arizona and California I made the choice to work for the Marlboro Department of Recreation instead and make money while forgoing an amazing trip I felt that with the lack of camper supply this year and a demand for these jobs that I would not get asked again and I wanted to secure the position While my friends were posting on twitter about the great time that had including that night at Dodger Stadium I felt that making money and securing a job was the right decisionMy second opportunity that I gave up this summer was also about my job at the Recreation Department I have been getting paid 725 an hour minimum wage plus a few dollars in tips and had an opportunity to earn 1200 an hour working at the Morganville Powerhouse Gym I decided not to work at the Gym in return for working at a lower rate but working with my friends I figured by giving up the West Coast trip I would hedge my decision to still make money while working with my friends at CampThe third thing that I did not do this summer was to purchase that Dodge Charger I always dreamed about driving around in a Black Charger and on the surface it was affordable
