"Your essay engages directly with Colette's work in a cogently argued and well-organized manner. The structure, progression of ideas, and overall control of the critical project illuminate the text for the reader at the various levels of plot, theme, and style. My main recommendation is to continue with a little more work with the lower-order concerns, including properly formatting titles using italics, populating some empty placeholder parenthetical citations, and refining a few moments of inefficient or ponderous phrasing. For example, instead of the current "With a combined first and third point of view,..." consider this edit: "The combined first and third point of view have a tremendous effect on the structure of the novel" (or "the novel's structure" or even "the structure"). Similar attention should be given to the introduction (I recommend removing the sentence about "history's literary shelf") and conclusion (which meanders before fizzling out): focus on efficiency of expression, impact, and pacing within and across sentences as a matter of style and reading experience."
