Narrative I started my observation in the Intensive English Language Program at Bowling Green State University I observed different levels such as Grammar class level 1 and reading and writing for levels 6 7 for fifteen hours This program always includes international students the majority of them from Saudi Arabia as well as others from China Colombia and South Korea Each class room has a different number of students because it depends on the students English language level This program includes multi-racial students from the entire world and it showed a multi culture education According to Wilson he defines what is a multi-culture education Multicultural education relates to education and instruction designed for the cultures of several different races in an educational system and this is what I observed httpwwwedchangeorgmulticulturalpaperskeithhtmlFor my first classroom observation I choose to observe a first level grammar class That class had 3 male students from Saudi Arabia The classroom was arranged with the teachers desk in the middle and students chairs faced the teacher It was a large class room for three students The teacher began his class correcting the homework and reviewing the previous information It just took the first twelve minutes of class After that he started a new subject The teachers strategy to teach grammar was to writes an example and then explained the rule Thus he did some extra exercises to practice the new rules He used nice verbal compliments to encourage his students The teacher was so friendly and understanding the language deficit I noticed he correct student pronunciation continuously without boring or ignoring some of the students mistake At the end of the class he employed some technology tools For example he used a sound tape to let the students know the single and plural nouns Students repeated the words after the tape to pronounce them correctly In this class I noticed students did not have any energy the teacher tried hard to
