The lifestyle of the average person today includes multiple pieces of technology The normalcy of cell phones computers video games and so on increases with each new version While some people consider the convenient entertainment to be more of a curse than a blessing the possibility of reversing or wiping out our technology is gone With the younger generation being exposed to the newest trend of social networks its dependency on technology strengthens Writers like Ian Daly are much more reluctant about joining in on social networking because they find little point or use in it No matter how much Daly or anyone else tries to fight it the newest internet sensation will continue to evolve and take over even more of societys lives Social networks have become the new way to make friends and actively socialize just like the progression from telephones to cell phones to texting As technology continues to advance the ability to constantly have access to entertainment and friends is becoming easier With the popularity of websites like Facebook or Myspace smartphones have also become extremely common Smart phones are able to constantly update the user on their social network accounts which is one of the smart phones most popular attractions A person could have easily lived without a smart phone five to ten years ago and still could but because the younger generation has become so accustomed to the new devices it is impossible for society to revert back to the simpler versions A device that was once used for simple phones calls or texts is now able to do practically anything the user wants it to With simple phone calls becoming a thing of the past a person without quick access to the internet and its networks will struggle to keep in contact with friends The need to fit in along with the fun of easy-to-access entertainment helps draw in more buyers In Ian Dalys Virtual Popularity Isnt Cool-
