The three essays and comic strip we have gone over in class all tie in to the same subject This subject is how technology is fitting in with the world today In these essays they basically say that the internet is taking over All birthdays used to be about family and friends and celebrating but now its all about how many emails or notifications people get In the essay We Shall Overshare the writer is talking about people writing online to the public about personal issues or things that dont need to be said online Most people do not want to read about other people going to the bathroom or doing something private The comic strip is about a father and a daughter the father wants to go somewhere with the daughter but the daughter is just rambling on about social networking The father is not happy about this and the daughter is basically complaining about some other things on MySpace or FacebookThere are many interpretations that I could have on these essays but I agree with the writers for the most part In We Shall Overshare it is talking about how people over use social networking in my opinion some people take it too far and dont know their limits If someone talks about something private when I am looking at Facebook I cringe Things have changed a lot over the past decade nobody used to be able to go one the computer and to read funny statuses about what people are doing or getting instant messages from friends Some people over do it when they say rude private things that nobody wants to hear Things have improved over the years with the internet This is also a great thing people can do things like raise money and in this essay it gave an example of people raising money on the internet for St Jude Hospital It also mentions that people in other
