When one was presented with this task of writing about the American Dream one had no idea what it was Through brainstorming and asking for others opinions one can see that the American Dream is being rich and famousIn this society we see how much athletes and celebrities get paid Our average Joe makes just enough a year to get by on a tight budget with little to no extra spending money to raise their families Whereas the rich can spend their money the way they want I believe we as Americans see this and instantly dream of a better life of being rich I know from experience when I see celebrities houses cars accessories I become jealous and fantasize about being rich Its just something that all middle class Americans think about Being rich also comes with the thought of becoming famous Americans these days will do almost anything to become famous For example having a lot of kids and have a television show produced for them Jon Kate Plus 8 and 19 Kids and Counting are just two examples of this They create a loving family producers find out about them and they become famous This happens a lot in our society Many people use YouTube or other television competitions to become famous Like celebrity Justin Bieber YouTube is where their careers take off Americans will post videos of themselves singing dancing playing instruments as well as various other things whether they are talented or not to get a moment in the spotlight People watch these videos and talk about them News stories stir up and record companies or other celebrities see them and approach the undiscovered artist Shows like American Idol and Americas Got Talent get acts discovered People who arent really talented as well as those who are try out for these competitions They audition to get on television again to have their moment in the spotlight Usually the
