The human heart has ever dreamed of a fairer world than the one it knows Carleton Noyes What this quote means to me is that the heart desires for a world that is better and purer than the world it presently lives in I agree with this statement because everybody always wants more than they can have their heart desires it and this leads to them trying to achieve it even though it is unlikely to happen In the novel Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck this quote is proven multiple times as George and Lennie strive for their hopeful one day futureIt seems that the protagonists are George and Lennie The book is told from their point of view The quote is proven with the fact that George and Lennie want more out of life George said Well have a big vegetable patch and a rabbit hutch and chickens And when it rains in the winter well just say the hell with goin to work and well build up a fire in the stove and set around it an listen to the rain comin down on the roof ---Nuts pg 14 In the novel it speaks about how George and Lennie strive to one day have the American dream of their hearts As read in the plot For George and Lennie have a plan to own an acre of land and a shack they can call their own When people are young and innocent everything seems to be a fantasy and the world seems perfect to them but as people get older they begin to realize that the world actually isnt as perfect as it should be People miss those young and innocent days were everything seemed more imaginable and more reachable the heart seems to always desire and want to find that perfect world where everything should be how it should even though it would be hard to ever
