One of Americas favorite past times is bingo we all know how to play Most of us learned in grammar school but the elderly love it and one Thursday night I was able to experience the beloved game itself Not only is the game a great way to kill a monotonous evening but a bingo parlor can have bustling activates to vitalize all the senses The various tasty treats at the snack bar will keep the hunger pangs at bay while the eclectic good luck charms on the tables stimulate your eyes Proceeds from bingo book sales and the concession go to laudable foundations which help many people struggling from affliction No one should forget the jackpot winnings you might just get lucky one nightThe Fraternal Order of the Eagles hosts the game every Thursday in what might be the most diverse game of bingo in town People arrive early to secure their places and get the proper accoutrements needed for games There is no mistaking the process here these folks are well-oiled bingo-calling machines and they have the set up clearly marked They greet people warmly at the book purchasing tables where players decide how many books to purchase The attendants are courteous and will explain anything to anyone unsure about what to do next They offer other things too such as pull tabs instant bingo and early bird specials a warm up game Then everyone takes his or her seats Location is important you want to be in proximity of one of the four monitors placed around the room to see what ball is being called This is also crucial because the bingo-announcer may start calling balls fast if a person is playing several books at a time they may find themselves behind The bingo marque is also a way to get information as to what is happening It is in the front center of the room for all to see it
