Jim's feedback:
"Avoid arbitrary capitalization. Your second sentence shows an example of a comma splice, i.e., the use of a comma to link what should be two sentences. You fail at least once to capitalize “God.” “Divine” is misspelled, as are “singlehandedly” and “omnipresence.” You can correct such problems merely by running a grammar check.
You base an argument on a passage from Genesis, but you do not repeat or summarize it. What does it say?
Write economically. For example, instead of “In the Bible it says,” you can merely write “The Bible says.” Perhaps I portray my ignorance, but I find difficulty following your arguments. State your case clearly and succinctly. I read the introduction and I do not know the purpose of your essay. Nor do I understand the conclusion."

Essays may be lightly modified for readability or to protect the anonymity of contributors, but we do not edit essay examples prior to publication. (And nope, we don't source our examples from our editing service! Check out our Privacy and Content Sharing policies for more information.)
