Nowadays people want to maintain their body health and active by participating in sports However some sports can be considered as high-risk activities for instance basketball Meeuwisse et al 2003 Basketball is a fast and aggressive game that requires many body contacts It is also a competitive sport which enhances the incidence of injury For example sprained ankle is a very common injury in basketball players According toHame et al 2004 the incidence rate of fractures is about 81 in male and 62 in female Although the occurrence of fractures is not the same both genders still have the same pattern of injuries Because of the nature of basketball games players can injury their body from top to bottom from the head to the foot McKay et al 2001 The injuries the players suffer are mostly occupational trauma This paper will discussthe biological sequence of healing skeletal fractures by exploring the type and pattern of trauma that is commonly found in a basketball player Since basketball players do not have any protective equipment to protect their head the facial area is easily to be injured especially when they are shooting and rebounding The injuries can be ranged from a minor laceration to a facial fracture When a player tries to catch a rebound opponents want to catch it as well All players move and raise both of their arms up in order to get a good position for rebounding Since there are so many fingers in the air aiming to catch the rebound players are at risk to sustain an eye injury Eye injury can be either minor or severe If a players finger hit into the orbit the cornea of the player is easily injured On the other hand fracture of cheekbone and nasal can be occurred when the elbows of the rebounder hit a player face after catching the rebound Azodo et al 2011 According to Ondik et al 2009 these fractures that
