Macbeth is a loyal courageous warrior He fights one of the most important battles to save Scotland and to honor this bravery King Duncan gives Macbeth the title of Thane of Cawdor By encountering three witches and them telling him his future his life slowly retrogresses As the play goes on Macbeths character completely changes from being a respectable man to becoming a monster There are many issues along the lines of his change in character He affects all of the people around him his wife friends and other acquaintances Macbeth has motivations and many tragic flaws which lead to his ultimate downfall Macbeths greatness which leads him to be a great thane and eventually a powerful king makes his actions have a significant impact on a country Macbeth has a great desire to becoming king His ambition comes to a point where he falls to the temptation of evil which leads to Macbeths downfall Even though Macbeth wins a battle and proves loyal to Duncan his thirst for power is too strong to keep his morals When his want is associated with the witchs prophecies his morals become non-existent and evil overcomes him For a moment Macbeths ambition takes over when the thought of killing Duncan comes across his mind however morality overpowers him Macbeths moral decision is clouded by his desire for power once again when he hears of Malcolms succession to the throne Wanting to become king and believing the witches at this point he will not allow anything to get in the way of his future Once Macbeth arrives home he changes his mind once again Knowing her husband is known for going back on a decision Lady Macbeth decides to be the extra push he needs to go through with the murder On deciding not to go through with the murder Lady Macbeth taunts his manhood With frequent changes of the mind Lady Macbeth finally appeals to his ambition Macbeth
