Beowulf was the strongest and bravest man in the world Decedent from the great Scyld nothing would stop him from achieving excellence Every opportunity that arose for Beowulf to prove himself as the greatest warrior was taken up and for the most part won One incident with a friend of his Breca in a week long swimming match was one by Breca due to a minor interference in favor of Breca Never has Beowulfs strength honor or bravery proved false He walked the talk and he talked a lot Finally a few opportunities arose to challenge our humble warrior To test his honor and bravery our mighty hero he must defeat a monster known as Grendel Grendels mother and a giant dragon The captain of evil discovered himself in a handgrip harder than anything he had ever encountered in any man on the face of the earth In order for Beowulf to prove his superiority among the rest of the humans he must win great battles A monster known as Grend has been plaguing the Danes with its brutal slayings and harassment of innocent people When Beowulf hears of this treachery he at once insists on slaying the beast He travels to meet Hrothgar king of the Danes where he is told of the beast and its power Beowulf uses this opportunity to make his reputation stronger Reputation was very important among the Anglo-Saxons Beowulf has no respect for the beast because it is killing without a cause or purpose In order to compensate those who Grendel has killed a reparation must be made a wergild and that price is Grendels head Beowulf got ready donned his war-gear indifferent to death After inflicting a mortal wound onto Grendel Beowulf became the target of Grendels mother Furious with vengeance the bloodthirsty yet subtle mother of Grendel seeks out Beowulf Upon entering the mead hall quite stealthy Grendels mother takes one man Aeschere who just
