The InnClewiston Florida not much to the name it has a nick name Americans Sweetest Town what to know why This town is one of the top towns to produce the most sugar cane in the state of Florida Towards the end of town there is a white building called the Clewiston Inn or otherwise just know as The Inn by glancing at it you would expect the president to walk out at any moment It has the four white in the front like it was built by the same artist who built the White House The Clewiston Inn is a world renowned Inn either for this history behind it or the fact that it is haunted This Inn is precious to everyone who had ever stayed daily lunch or just a visitor to see the small town have been standing for 85 years it has a story to be told and can be said just by viewing the entire picture on the walls or even the famous paintingClewiston Inn was built in 1926 by the Clewiston Company a real estate development arm of Bror Dahlbergs Southern Company The Clewiston Inn was run by the Wantanabes Japanese immigrate family The Clewiston Inn survived the 1926 and 1928 hurricanes but was later burnt down in 1937 It was rebuilt in 1938 on its new location on Royal Palms Avenue The Clewiston Inn has had many visitors in the past such as Herbert Hoover Henry Ford Henry Firestone Thomas Edison etc The most striking moment is when entering the lounge it has a four wall mural that was painted in 1945 It is a beautiful 360-degree wildlife wall mural with flora and fauna painted by the world renowned J Clinton Shepherd Mr Shepherd stayed at the Inn for months at a time and taking frequent trips into the Everglades to gather sketches of the many animals one wall is worth over 40000 Clewiston Florida or Americas
