How do you pick the right college There are so many to choose from good ones bad ones cheap ones expensive ones ones close to home or ones far away In this day and age its almost impossible to narrow them all down to the perfect school But in order to pick the right school you have to have your whole life and career planned out You can go to school for a couple years and major in different things to find out what youre good at and what you like but to do that you either have to be rich or go to a really cheap school If youre poor or have no idea what to do when you grow up like me you have a lot less choices Right now I have my eye on two schools Berkeley Cal or the University of Pennsylvania Penn State They have both been around over one hundred years and are in the top fifty best schools in the nation Although its impressive theyve been around that long the three most important variables to consider when looking at colleges are money education and location The first issue is money There is financial aid scholarships and student loans to help but it wont always cover the full cost Berkeley is an amazing school that costs about 50000 per year for a non-resident of California Now that may be a lot of money but in the end getting a degree from Berkeley would look good on your resume and it would pay off Penn State is also a school that would cost more money than needed Although its not a very big difference Penn State would cost around 40000 per year So you could save 10000 per year if you went to Penn Another big thing about colleges to remember is the influence it has on the people who are hiring People who go to an actual college
