Bridget's feedback:
"A major strength of this paper is in locating the evidence for the norms and mores directly in the text. This allows you to create a portrait of the world in which Hamlet acts that corresponds directly to the play. Somewhat unclear is how you are using "cultural identity" (and whether social identity would be more relevant). I recommend deciding which you want to use and then defining the usage before moving into the body of the discussion.
Another area for finetuning may be in your analytical follow-ups to each of the longer quotations (the sentences immediately after), which tend to repeat or reiterate the content. I recommend reviewing these and deciding if both are needed--operating as evidence, some may better support the claim as quotes, and some may be more useful as paraphrase. Alternatively, lead into the quotation with signal phrases derived from the current follow-ups. For example, "The honest relationship which Hamlet has had with his friend Horatio" could be given before the quotation (in a revised form), reminding the reader what to pay attention to as they encounter the quote itself."
